APICORP investment in renewable energy grows by 500% in the last 5 years: CEO
The volume of investment of Saudi Arabia’s Arab Petroleum Investment Corp. has increased by 500 percent over the last five years, its CEO told CNBC Arabia.
The energy-focused financial institution has issued green bonds worth $750 million to invest in renewable energy projects, Ahmed Ali Attiga added.
Attiga noted that the region is witnessing a shift in investment in the energy sector, as it plays an important role in operations in the oil and hydrocarbon sector.
